Clergy

St. Alban's Episcopal Church enjoys the dedicated services of clergy, staff members and volunteers who help fulfill our mission. They include:

The Very Rev. Canon F. Michael Perko, Ph.D.
St. Alban’s Priest-in-Charge is Father Michael Perko.  Previously, he has served as a parish priest at St. John’s Cathedral, Holy Cross Church, and Holy Faith Church, all in the Diocese of the Rio Grande, and as a spiritual and retreat director for over 30 years.  Dean Perko, a former Roman Catholic (Jesuit) priest, is Dean Emeritus of the Diocesan School for Ministry, and Canon for Canonical Affairs. He also is an emeritus professor at Loyola University, Chicago, where he was Director of the Center for the Advanced Study of Christianity and Culture, and has held faculty fellowships at the University of Chicago, University of London, Ecumenical Center for Theological Research (Israel), and Bar-Ilan University (Israel).

Father Michael has lived in the diocese for the last eight years with his wife Lisa, a retired financial analyst and attorney.  Their family consists of four golden retrievers, an English Springer Spaniel, and the newest arrival, a 126 lb. Newfoundland named Grace Louise.
