About The Episcopal Church

St Alban

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God who created all things.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that Jesus, while fully God, and took upon himself man’s humanity. We believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection and hold Easter to be the great celebration upon which the Church is built.

We believe that the Holy Spirit proceeds from God and is the third person of the Trinity, sent to man as the revealer of God’s will.

We believe that the Holy Scriptures are the Word of God and contain all things necessary for salvation.

We believe that God calls us to be continual examples of Christian love and behavior, and still He forgives us when we fall short of the mark.

We believe that God loves us unceasingly and desires each one of us to live in His love

We worship corporately every Sunday and often on weekdays. The Holy Eucharist is our chief worship service, at which we recall Christ’s death, resurrection, and continuing presence with us in the common meal known as the Communion or the Lord’s Supper. All baptized persons are welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table to receive this sacrament.

Our worship is based upon the Bible, the Word of God, which is proclaimed publicly at every worship service. We also use the Book of Common Prayer. In so doing, we share a common bond with our Anglican brothers and sisters whenever and wherever we worship. Our music is traditional and contemporary, always joyful, frequently inspiring.

We are committed to carrying God’s message of love into a hurting world, remembering always the command of Jesus to "clothe the naked, feed the hungry, care for the sick, visit those in prison, and welcome the stranger among us."

We recognize two sacraments:

  • Baptism
  • Holy Eucharist

and 5 sacramental rites:

  • Confirmation
  • Holy Matrimony
  • Ordination
  • Unction
  • Penance

We believe that God is actively present in the world and in us. In the sacraments we realize his presence and his favor towards us. Through the sacraments, which are freely given to us by God, our sins are forgiven, our minds are enlightened, our hearts stirred and our wills strengthened.
